Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Saturn Sky

Today on this 2008 Saturn Sky, we're going to review and install the draw type 4 pull hard wire kit with circuit tester, part number 18252. A couple notes on when you're not using it, of course, it's going to stay right here and we can go ahead and shut the trunk hatch on it. It should present no problems. Then when we need to use it, we'll simply pull it out, take out our slack, just run it out the back here. There's enough gap right here it won't hurt the wires when you close the hatch. There's plenty of space in here, I can move the wire so nothing will get pinched and plus we have enough to go down to our trailer hitch. Keeping it somewhat inside the vehicle will make the contacts on the 4 pull last a lot longer than sitting outside all the time. This is the parts that you get. more

TowReady Taillight Converter Hardwire Kit Installation - 2002 Saturn S Series

Today on a 2002 Saturn S-Series, we're going to install part number 119178KIT. First thing we need to is get access to our wire harness. We're going to access the wires right behind the tail lights. All we have to do is peel back the interior carpeting to get access to the wires. To test our wires we're going to need a ground, so we'll take our white wire and ground it to the interior sheet metal, then we can use that for ground. We'll take our tester that comes with the kit and ground it, then we test our wires. First we'll check for our running lights circuit. We'll take a quick splice connector, connect our brown wire to our brown wire on our module for running lights. Next we'll look for our left turn signal. Our left turn is going to be yellow, and we'll connect that to yellow from the module. Now we'll look for our brake signal. more

TowReady Taillight Converter Hardwire Kit Installation - 2007 Saturn Vue

Today in this 2007 Saturn Vue we're going to install part number 119178KIT. This will actually be easy install. This will use a tow package that's already existing in the vehicle. We need to open up the back hatch and get access to jack storage compartment. We'll open up the door, and we'll go ahead and remove the jack tools. Towards the bottom of the pocket you'll see some loops of wires. We'll go ahead and free those wires up to get better access to them. These wires are in a continuous loop so it's just as well just to leave them like they are, just work out the electric tape to make sure you've better access to them that you can work with. At this point we can go ahead and start taking our converter and attaching it to the tow pack. This will almost be color for color wiring. We'll take our green wire from our converter box and match the green wire on the tow package on the car. We'll do the same thing with the yellow wire and also the brown wire. To make our connections we'll be using the quick splice connectors. Put our quick splice connector on the wire, then slide a new wire next to it and the slowly press down on the metal part in the middle with a pair of pliers to make our connection. more
